VIVA AEROBUS APPOINTS THREE NEW INDEPENDENT DIRECTORS TO BOARD

Mexico City, October 11, 2021. – Grupo Viva Aerobus, holding company for Mexico's ultra-low-cost carrier, announced today the appointment of Laura Cruz Urquiza, Yvonne Ochoa Rosellini and Howard Millar to its board of directors, effective October 11, 2021.

“We are excited to add such great talent and leadership to our board of Directors and we give a warm welcome to Laura, Yvonne & Howard. Their vision and experience in governance, finance and business development will contribute to our strategy and growth”, stated Roberto Alcantara, Chairman of the Board of Grupo Viva Aerobus.

Laura Cruz, CEO of Mastercard Mexico, has a distinguished professional career in the financial sector and a deep understanding of global markets, technology, data analysis, customer service and business strategy. She has held senior positions in financial and banking institutions, as well as in the global consulting firm McKinsey & Company.

Yvonne Ochoa, expert in corporate governance and finance, is the founder of Convixion, a consultancy firm for shareholders; as well as co-founder and CEO of the Mexican food company Keat. Ochoa served as CFO in Grupo Coppel and held diverse senior finance positions in BBVA Bancomer.

Finally, Howard Millar, CEO of global aircraft lessor Sirius Aviation Capital, has over 30 years of experience in senior roles in the aviation industry, was a pioneer of the ultra-low-cost model in Europe, held the positions of Deputy CEO and CFO of Ryanair Holdings plc (listed on the NASDAQ), and currently serves as Non-Executive Director.
