Mexico City, Mexico, March 29, 2021. – Viva Aerobus, Mexico´s ultra-low-cost-carrier, received the PRIME certification, which recognizes companies that strengthen their Corporate Governance according to best practices.

PRIME Certification is part of the Corporate Governance Program promoted by the Asociación Mexicana de Instituciones Bursátiles (AMIB), Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior (Bancomext), Nacional Financiera (Nafin), the Institutional Stock Exchange (BIVA), and the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV). Its purpose is to support Mexican companies to strengthen their structure and, consequently, their competitiveness.
This renewed commitment of Viva Aerobus with the highest standards of Corporate Governance aims to provide confidence and certainty to its investors, shareholders, suppliers and third parties regarding an honest, reliable, and strategic management of the company to achieve a sustained and responsible growth.
To be certified, Viva implemented specific actions aimed at strengthening its Corporate Governance entities according to the PRIME Guide.
Some of these principles of good Corporate Governance are the generation of economic and social value; stability; timely disclosure of key information; accountability; the issuance of a Code of Ethics; and the creation of various independent committees that validate, verify and regulate the company´s performance.
