Viva Aerobus now offers more than 100 routes with its three new flights to the US from Cancun

Published Tuesday, September 25, 2018

Mexico City, September 20, 2018.- Viva Aerobus, Mexico's ultra-low-cost airline, now offers, for the first time ever, more than a hundred routes with the announcement of its three new Cancun - Cincinnati, Cancun - Charlotte and Cancun - Nashville routes. The airline offers one flight per week in each one of these routes.

The route that connects southern Mexico with Cincinnati begins on December 1; while those connecting Mexico with North Carolina and Tennessee begin operations on February 16, 2019.

Viva Aerobus will operate these new routes in strategic partnership with Vacation Express, one of the largest tour operators in the southeast United States, which already has more than 25 years of experience transporting travelers to Mexico. Therefore, both companies join efforts to expand the flight alternatives so that Mexicans and Americans can enjoy both countries easily.

"Today we celebrate a great step in the expansion and diversification of our offer, reaching 101 routes: 89 national and 12 international to 43 destinations. We are proud of this uninterrupted expansion at unbeatable prices because, above all, it means real opportunities and savings so everyone can fly", said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus.

Viva Aerobus has already announced, just in 2018, 17 new routes and, by the end of the year, it will have inaugurated 22 routes.

Regarding its presence in Cancun, Viva Aerobus strengthens its service with these flight launches. It now flies to 20 destinations, 15 domestic (within Mexico) and 5 international, thus being the Mexican airline offering the largest number of destinations from this city.

Moreover, the airline has increased by 16% the number of available seats from / to Cancun International Airport in the first 8 months of the year, compared to the same period of 2017. This is the result of its commitment to keep connected one of the most important tourist enclaves of the country.

"Like all our routes, these flights are backed by a deep knowledge of travelers’ needs and preferences as well as the knowledge of the potential of the destinations we connect. In this way, we reaffirm our strategic role with Cancun, making it even more attractive for the international market thanks to affordable ticket prices ", added Juan Carlos Zuazua.
