Mexico City, October 29, 2018.- At the Official Inaugural Ceremony held at the Toluca International Airport, Alfredo del Mazo, Governor of the State of Mexico, along with other authorities, welcomed the new Toluca - Cancun and Toluca - Monterrey routes of Viva Aerobus, the Mexico's ultra-low-cost airline.

The authorities recognized the importance of these strategic flights that, characterized by low prices, strengthen the accessibility of the entity by connecting it with tourist and commercial enclaves in the north and south of the country.

"Thanks to the connectivity that the International Airport of Toluca offers, its local network and the infrastructure of this region of our state, Viva has decided to settle in the Toluca terminal and open these two flights in order to provide passengers the comfort and opportunity to fly from this point", said Governor Alfredo del Mazo. "It is an airline that has been in the Mexican market for 12 years and we recognize that it has one of the most modern fleets in the country" he added.

Toluca-Cancun has 3 flights per week and offers prices starting from $722 pesos in single flight; while Toluca-Monterrey has tickets starting at $603 pesos and 4 flights per week. Considering both routes, more than 130 thousand seats will be offered to passengers in the first year of operation. Additionally, depending on the evolution of the route, the number of frequencies per week could increase.

"It is one more step in the route that the governor has outlined for us to turn our state into the logistic heart of the country", mentioned Limón Chávez.

These new routes are a result of Viva Aerobus' expansion strategy, which has as guiding principle the creation of an extensive air network at prices that allow more people to fly. In this regard, so far in 2018, the airline has already launched on sale 18 new routes.

"This year, we have also started our connecting flights service from Monterrey.
